The hit show Walking Dead takes place in Atlanta and is filmed throughout Georgia but did you know Stranger Things is also filmed here? Stranger Things is one of the most talked about shows of 2016 receiving a near perfect score on RottenTomatoes.com.
Atlanta-born actors like David Cross, Julia Roberts and Tyler Perry have made a huge name for themselves in the industry. Tyler Perry has been a significant figure in the industry since 1992. In 2011, Forbes named him the highest paid man in entertainment when he earned $130 million. Since then he has managed to create an outlet for Atlanta actors to find their spot in the industry. Almost every one of his films and shows are filmed locally giving back to the city so aspiring actors can follow in his footsteps.
