Director Brian Robbins is now casting for the made-for-television film on the Disney Channel about the true story of Bret Kaiser, a detention officer at a Arizona’s Tent City jail, who created a Talent show contest for the inmates that helped create hope and focus through the power of music for the inmates and thousands who heard the story.

The film is mostly based off the article in the L.A. Weekly written by Joshuah Bearman who spotlighted Kaiser, a former heavy-metal front man. The “Inmate Idle Singing Con-Test” even attracted famous rock idle Alice Cooper to be a guest Judge!

Casting Directors are currently seeking talent for all featured roles, extras and body doubles to play inmates and prison guards. Tattoo’s are a plus and applicants should look weathered, beaten-down/rough looking guys.

Please include at least one photo that is up to date when applying .Talent should have a prepared resume and comp card for auditions. Auditions may have talent read parts depending on the versatility of the part you are auditioning for. If you are in the area and would love to audition, please send in your headshot to the casting department. Make sure all of your information is clear!

    Hello, my name is Miri Joy Guerin. I really would love acting on a T.V show! I would love to be a great worker, and have watched every Disney Channel show since, forever! I am ten years old and have brown hair with very faded highlights I got during the beginning of summer. My family are fully supported, but will not drive me to be an extra. So maybe, maybe, maybe, can I be a main? Or a supporting main? Please? Well I hope you see this, seeing that so many people are trying I have a slight chance.
