African American Photo Double for Powers

Sony’s PlayStation Network is currently filming its first scripted series called Powers. The series is set in a world where people with and without special abilities coexist. It follows a pair of detectives who are tasked with investigating any crimes related to those with special abilities.

The extras casting team for Powers is seeking an African American Photo double to work this Friday, January 9^th. Please read the casting description below and if you fit the description apply via the instructions provided by CL casting.

A Photo Double much like a stand-in is literally a credited actor’s body substitute in any recorded visual shots where the actor is unable or unwilling to take part of the scene. However unlike stand-ins who replace an actor during non-filming purposes a body double replaces the actor during filmed scenes. Body doubles are often used in scenes containing nudity or where the actor is expected to execute sophisticated or dangerous stunts.

A body double can be used in cases where a production is in need of special skills such as playing the piano or competitive skiing. The Photo-Double must learn the dialogue for each scene of the actor that he is doubling for as well as reproducing the exact physical actions of that actor in that scene.
