ABC Pilot Runner Casting Call for Extras in Chicago
ABC has begun production on its new drama pilot Runner in the Chicago area. Runner is written by Michael Cooney (writer and director of Jack frost) and is based on the Turkish drama series Son. Michael Offer has signed on as director, Offer recently directed ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder starring Viola Davis.
The new ABC drama is set to star Paula Patton, in her first series lead, as Lauren Marks. Runner producers have also tapped CSI: Miami alum, Adam Rodriguez, to star opposite Patton. Rodriguez will play an unsavory character from Lauren’s past, Troy, who may be the only person able to assist Lauren in discovering the truth about her husband.
Runner will center around Lauren Marks, a wife and mother who believed that she had lost her husband in a horrific plane crash only to discover that he is not only alive but in the company of a mysterious woman who has stolen her identity. While trying to navigate the web of lies her husband has spun Lauren must rely on the help of Troy, a man she’d hoped never to see again, to help her navigate the dangerous world of cartels, drugs and illegal gunning between Mexico and the United States in order to find her husband and his mysterious companion.
The extras casting team with 4 Star Casting has released a casting call seeking extras to portray several roles in an upcoming shoot. Extras being considered for a role in this shoot must have a film ready vehicle and be available this Friday.
