One of the big name television series that will be debuting later this year is NBC’s Constantine, and the even better news is that they are holding casting calls for extras to be a part of the show. The casting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on August 22nd and the casting directors are looking to fill a large array of roles that include a bartender, waitress, patrons in the bar, bicyclist, joggers, students, pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers, homeless people, and so much more.
The story of Constantine is based off of a Hellblazer graphic novel, and is centered around the main protagonist John Constantine. Some may remember a brief introduction to the character as Keanu Reeves first took up this persona in 2005 in the film titled ‘Constantine’. The character is described as a man who struggles to overcome the influence of Heaven and Hell, but is simultaneously haunted by his past sins. In order to potentially “buy” his way into heaven John Constantine takes on the duty to protect humanity from the threat of dark forces that look to consume the world. The show is expected to contain a good amount of thrill, action, excitement, and bits of horror as the cast will feature various forms of angels and demons alike.
Constantine is not expected to air until later this fall, but the casting directors are still in need of local talent in the Atlanta area to attend the casting call to fill the various roles. This is an opportunity that can potentially lead to great exposure, as certain people who perform well as an extra on a hit TV series are more likely to be called back or recommended for other projects. I am young and ambitious with the entrepreneur spirit. I am 23 years old, single with no kids; i have all the time to work on my dreams and goals. I moved to Atlanta from Lafayette, Louisiana just over three weeks ago, all to find more opportunities and follow my dreams. I have been involved in theater since 2003. I have catapulted from the stage to the production, directing and writing side of the business,to become a quadruple threat. I wrote and published my first production, “A Real Christmas Story” in 2005. A stage play inspired by hurricane Katrina, displaying Christmas after the storm. I moved on to work with various organization to write and produce stage plays and theatrical performances. In addition, I am an experienced radio and TV personality. I have been in the radio and television industry in many capacities; sales, production, programming and promotions. I have just recently created and wrote a pilot series for a prime time television drama. I am currently awaiting copyrights and in seek of business and industry executives to pitch. I have won many awards for my stage productions, including one from a Walt Disney World National Competition.
