The show Divorce Court, presents real couples filing for divorce. The show has the format of presenting the arguments of the divorcing persons against a judge. The program ends by presenting a ruling according to the arguments presented and all matters are settled by the end.
The idea for the show first appeared in 1957 and the current edition started in 1999 and hosted by a former judge Lynn Toler.
About the Couples
The couples who have now reached the point of either saving or ending their marriage are required for the show. The show also looks at couples who are not married yet, but want to decide if they want to break up or not. Similarly, it also presents other couple related problems, which may relate to either transgender couples or same sex marriages.
The casting call is for couples who believe that they can smartly present their case in front of a judge by themselves. The avenue, however, is not for couples where domestic violence is involved or there are already criminal convictions.
About the Call
The call is a paid one and each person will be paid 570 dollars for appearing in the show. Their expenses for travelling and getting accommodation in Los Angeles will also be covered by the show.
Both partners, however, are required for the show. You need to decide carefully before applying at the opportunity.
