Arvold Casting has come up with an exciting and interactive museum project. Various actors are required for The American Revolution Museum. The acting auditions will be held in Richmond, and the final rehearsals and performance will be held in Yorktown.

About the Show

The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is a unique and interactive project that is being created in Virginia. The York Town Victory Center is currently undergoing renovation to convert it into The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. The museum will be publicly opened in late 2016.

The Yorktown Victory Center and Cortina Production are working together to produce an interactive multimedia experience, revolving around the Revolutionary War. This is not only a paid role, but it will also give you a chance to perform in front of the media and public and become a part of the news. Many people from the industry will attend the multimedia sessions.

It is important to note that thousands of visitors will see your interactive exhibits. Therefore, the applicants should be confident and able to perform in front of a big crowd of people.

The Yorktown Victory Center will also allow the visitors to interact with the actors and ask about the stories of their lives. The performances will include the stories of Britain, showcase battles, and tell the history of how British colonies were formed.

The filming of this project will take place in Richmond. The auditions for non-union actors will be scheduled shortly around Charlottesville Area in VA. The applicants should attend the auditions in 1781 era clothing.

The director of this project is Joe Cortina. The casting director is Michelle Kelly, and the casting associate is Michael Duni. Brent Feito is producing the project.

Details of Shoots and Project

  • Shooting location: Richmond, VA
  • Usage: Full buyout
  • Audition type: Self-tape or audition in person at Charlottesville
  • Travel/Lodging: Will be provided
  • Pay rate: $250 for one half day. For some roles, additional bonus of 20% also applies. The pay rate is individually mentioned in front of each role.

After that, send a headshot and resume in PDF format to arvoldcasting.submission@gmail.com. Copy the resume in your email as well. Don’t worry about the format.

Daniel Morgan

He is a Caucasian male in his mid 40’s. Daniel is a rugged man from the frontier. During American Revolutionary War, he operated as the head of the riflemen and irregular troops. He has an amazing physical and emotional stability, which is why he is also known as “The Old Wagoner” among the troops. The pay rate for this role is $250 for one half day and additional 20% bonus if the candidate applies through an agency.

Banastre Tarleton

A Caucasian male in his mid 20’s, he is a British soldier who also worked as politician during the American Revolutionary War. The candidates must have an authentic British accent for this role. The pay rate is $250 for one half day for this role.

Richard Randolph

A Caucasian male of the age 8-10 is required to play the role of Richard Randolph. He is a young boy growing up in colonial America. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

William Augustus Bowles

A Caucasian male of the age 18, William is an adventurer and loyalist. He has spent his life with Native Americans during Revolutionary War days. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

James Armistead Lafayette

The African American James in his early 20s has served in the continental army during Revolutionary War times. He has also served as double agent against British forces. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

David Fanning

A Caucasian and balding male in his mid 20’s, David is a loyalist leader in the regions of North and South Carolina during Revolutionary War. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Shadrack Furman

An African-American in his late 20’s, Shadrack has escaped enslavement and now he has built himself up as a free man. Shadrack was attacked and arrested due to his strong loyalist beliefs. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Benjamin Whitecuff

Benjamin is an African American male in his late 20’s to 30’s. Benjamin was born in the house of a free farmer. Later, he started spying for the British agencies that resulted in dangerous consequences for him. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Francisco De Miranda

In his early 30’s, this Hispanic male is a Venezuelan revolutionist. He is an adventurer and very romantic guy. His idealist beliefs often put him in trouble. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Myer Myers

In his late 50’s, this Caucasian male is a Jewish silversmith. He has spent his life in colonial America. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Jemima Condict

This Caucasian female in mid 20’s was born in rural England. Jemima is fond of writing, and she has also kept a diary about her days in rural England and colonial America. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Mary Perth

Mary is an African-American female in late 20’s to early 30’s. She is an educated, but enslaved woman. She is able to read, but not write. Mary had escaped imprisonment and supported the British forces during the Revolutionary War. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Esther De Berdth Reed

Esther is a Caucasian female in mid 30’s. She is the wife of Joseph Reed and born in England. She moved to Philadelphia and served some of the most influential American leaders including George Washington. Esther was in support of England during her early professional years but eventually, she supported the colonial America in the Revolutionary War. The applicants must have authentic British accent for this role. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Rebecca Brewton Motts

Rebecca is a Caucasian female in her mid 40’s. She is a light-haired, very wealthy woman. Rebecca is also very attractive and beautiful. She married a plantation owner and supported small colonies that had turned rebellions against British forces. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Molly Brant

This Native American female is in her mid 40’s. She is a highly-anglicized woman and has served as an ally of the British forces during Revolutionary War. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Martha Washington

This is the character of the wife of President George Washington. Martha is a Caucasian female in her 50’s. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Mercy Otis Warren

Mercy is a Caucasian female in her mid 50’s. She is a wealthy woman from New England. She is a political writer with strong influence. She is also a propagandist and writes in the favor of American Revolution. The pay rate is $250 for one half day work.

Important Note

The casting crew will select the actors from the information forms only. The auditions will be taken on appointment only. The artists need to have flexible work schedules. The casting crew is looking for actors from agency and independent artists. If the actors mention their association with an agency, and it is confirmed, the casting crew will pay an additional 20% to these actors after confirming their status.
