Casting Call for “The Company You Keep” starring Robert Redford and Shia LaBeouf.

Voltage Pictures and Wildwood Enterprises along with Kingsgate Film is bringing Shia La Beouf back on the big screen with this new film “The Company You Keep”. The film is in production and looking for talent! Director Robert Redford, known mostly for his acting roles in Hollywood, from the 1993 film “Indecent Proposal”, and “Lions for Lambs” in 2007. “The Company You Keep” is coming out by the beginning of next year and casting directors are booking extras and talent for the film. A thriller film that is focused on a former Weather Underground activist who ends up on the run from a journalist who discovered his identity. Actors Robert Redford plays Jim Grant, Shia LaBeouf as Ben Shepard, and Julie Christie as Mimi Lurie. Terrence Howard is also part of the project as a supporting role of Cornelius. Most of the film is shot in Canada and Los Angeles. The film is scheduled to come out in February of next year, and the rest of the supporting characters will be booked depending on the available roles. “The Company You Keep” is based on a novel by Neil Gordon, but the screenplay was rewritten by Lem Dobbs.

As you can tell this is going to be another thriller and great dramatic film. Actors are asked to be available for auditions and some may be asked to prepare a monologue depending on the character role available in the film. Other talent will be asked to play extras and featured extras, while also some photo doubles will be needed. Photo doubles meaning a Robert Redford look-a-like, and Shia LaBeouf and etc. All talent should definitely be open to being on camera for long periods of time on set. But until you do attend auditions, you will not be booked based off of just your resume. Making sure your information is correct in your submission, providing phone number and e-mail, along with the most recent head shot is important! If you do not have professional photos make sure that you do get those done immediately. Meet with a talent representative and have them give you some advice on your acting resume. You do not have to be a professional actor with tons of experience, or a SAG affiliated actor in order to be booked but you have to attend auditions. Best of luck to all of the talent.
