Casting for Lee Daniel’s New Drama “Star”



There are multiple casting opportunities released by the new Central Casting office in Atlanta for the upcoming musical drama that is to be featured on Fox called “STAR”. The creator behind this one is the same producer of ‘Empire’.

This new series ‘Star’ will soon hit FOX with it’s another story based musical drama.


This new FOX show will be based on a group of girls trying to make it big and get worldwide attention. The cast will feature Queen Latifah, Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady, and Ryan Destiny. The show will revolve around 3 lead female singers struggling to achieve their dream.

Bittany, Ryan, and Jude are casted to play the singing trio. Queen Latifah will play the mother figure for all three girls who assist them and guide them throughout their struggling journey, even though she is not very happy with what the girls have chosen for themselves. The amazing twist will come when the girls will finally realize that dreams and fantasies are not easy to achieve and often comes at a cost. And at times, the cost can be too high to pay.


The filming is scheduled for the 26th  of September 2016 and the 7th of October 2016. This is a paid gig and the pay rate will vary depending on the casting role. The pay has been set to at least $68 per hour for 8 hours a day + any additional time.

The following are available roles for the show:

  • Bar Patrons: Looking for chic and upscale bar patrons – both men and women. The candidates should be in their 20s-40s and should be chic, trendy, attractive, and upscale. Should be available during daytime.
  • Dinner and Lunch Patrons: Looking for both male and female candidates in their 20s-30s. The candidates should be upscale and highly attractive. We are looking for beautiful and attractive women who are often popular with actors and professional athletes.
  • Athletes: Looking for men with athletic builds in their 20s and 30s to play the role of professional athletes. The candidates applying for this role should be attractive with fit bodies.
