Originally titled Notorious than Infamous NBC has decided to renew and change the name to Deception for their mystery soap from writer Liz Heldens. The drama stars Meagan Good, Victor Garber, and Tate Donovan, and follows Detective Joanna Locasto, a woman who returns to the wealthy family and home where she grew up to snoop around and try to uncover the truth behind the death of her once-best friend Vivian. The show has been picked up for the midseason by NBC and the casting directors are now taking applications for several roles in the drama. This is a great opportunity for actors that are looking for their big break.

When wealthy socialite and notorious party girl Vivian Bowers is found dead of an overdose, no one is really surprised. The heiress to the Bowers’ pharmaceutical empire has been all over the tabloids for years: wild, pretty, privileged… and now dead at the age of 32. But for FBI agent Will Moreno, things don’t add up with this suspicious dynasty. Convinced that the troubled girl’s death was a homicide, he has a clever plan to get to the truth. Joanna quickly begins to uncover dark secrets and clues about why Vivian’s life was very much in danger. At the same time, she rekindles an old romantic relationship and rediscovers the allure of the luxurious lifestyle she once knew.

The casting directors at NBC have provided us with information that they will be holding auditions for several extra roles in the drama series. They are looking to male and female union and non union actors to play several roles for the upcoming season.   6. “Deception” is an excellent name for the series. It is definitely more fitting than “Infamous” or “Notorious.” I have been following the show and think it is really well done. I am hooked!
