Disney is now looking for young and talented actors for their upcoming featured film called ‘A Wrinkle in Time’. The production house is head towards Boston, Massachusetts.

The film will be directed by Ava DuVernay who is the director for the upcoming American television series ‘Queen Sugar’ and 2014 historical film drama ‘Selma’ featuring chronicles of Martin Luther King’s campaign to secure equal voting rights.

About ‘A Wrinkle In Time’

Written by Madeleine L’Engle, ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ is science-fiction fantasy novel first published in 1963. The story of the novel centers around a young girl called Margaret Murry, nicknamed Meg in the story. Meg is the eldest offspring of her parents Alex and Kate Murry who are scientists.

Meg has three younger brothers, however their father went missing and she misses him much. Meg’s father, who is a government scientist, has gone missing looking for a mysterious object known as the ‘tesseract’.

The book won several rewards such as the Newbery Medal, Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, Sequoyah Book Award It was also a runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. The book is L’Engles’ first on from the series of novels involving the Murry and O’Keefe families.

How To Apply

The producers for the film are looking for children from the age of 5 to 15 years of age who can play the lead roles for the upcoming new movie.

Casting Directors at Disney would be holding an open session for casting calls on Sunday, 31^st of July till Monday 1^st of August 10am in the morning to 2pm afternoon.
