From Harry Potter to The Hunger Games and Twilight, books-turned-movies Summit Entertainment has announced that they are starting production on their new movie Divergent. Summit and their movies have dominated award shows and movie theaters for a long time and they are planning to do the same on March 21st 2014 when they release Divergent. Divergent revolves around a 16-year-old girl living in a world where society is divided into five factions that represent a particular virtue. There’s Honesty, Selflessness, Bravery, Peacefulness, and Intelligence. The movie is based on a novel written by Veronica Roth and is the first in a planned trilogy. The casting directors for Divergent are now looking for male and female actors for several stand-in and day roles for the new film. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to break into the industry.
The story follows Tris, who lives in a future Chicago that is separated in five factions in order to stabilize society. At age 16 each citizen must choose a permanent faction. For Tris things don’t go as planned and she has to survive an aggressive and physically demanding initiation. Beatrice Prior must uncover her true hidden strengths and risk her family, her newfound love, and her very own life to defuse a mysterious conspiracy which could change the balance of power forever.
Although there’s no word yet on who is being considered to be cast in the movie, the casting directors are now taking applications for numerous roles in the new film. Hello, my name is Monique Jones and I am 15.(I can act like I am much older and I look much older too.) I hope it is not too late to enter this because I have always dreamed of being in a film like this one… even if I am only a small extra that is shown once! I could never imagine getting a larger role though, that would truly be a dream come true.
I have blue eyes, brown/blonde curly hair (It looks good straightened too.), muscular body with a fine figure. I am also very very fit, flexible and athletic…I could climb, jump or roll over anything you asked; nothing is too hard for me when I put my mind to it.
Around my home I have been in several productions getting main roles in all. I have competed in a numerous fashion shows and won them too, along with all of that I have received endless public speaking and debating awards. I am very efficient in learning scripts and screen placement and I am very quick learner. I am a swimmer, singer, dancer and take acrobatic classes. I also used to do gymnastics but I stoped last term due to wanting to start something new….like this.
I love being out side and active. I take part in everything in high school even if I don’t enjoy it. My name is Camryn Capizzi, form San Diego CA (but I would be willing and able to travel if needed),
I am very recently 19 years old (as of February 16th, 2013- but I look younger), I am fair/light skinned caucasian female, with very curly fair blonde hair (I would be willing to temporarily straighten or dye my hair, even permanently dye it depending on the color), I have medium-big sized blue eyes (medium hue), I am 5’6″, 160 lbs, and have an apple-type body shape.
I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, and I am very good at it too, but unfortunately do not have as much experience performing as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work extremely hard to even get close to, and I desperately want this. I also have been told that I have great comedic timing. I would put my whole heart and soul into making people love my character, and if you choose me, I promise I will come at it with everything I have got.
