End of 2016 Upcoming Movies

OCTOBER

The Girl on the Train is the first big movie set to hit theaters the first week of October.  It stars Emily Blunt in an intense thriller based on the book by Paula Hawkins.  The book boasts a The New York Times Best Sellers List feature and is compared to the 2014 hit, Gone GirlRelease Date: October 7th 2016.

The Accountant is an action thriller movie directed by Gavin O’Connor.  It stars Ben Affleck as an accountant/agent.  During the normal work week he poses as an ordinary small time accountant, but at night he makes a living as a forensic accountant for a dangerous criminal organization.  All is well until a Treasury agent, played by J.K. Simmons, discoverers his true identity and comes after Affleck’s character.  Release Date: October 14th, 2016.

NOVEMBER

Arrival is a science fiction drama starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker.  It is about the mysterious landing of multiple alien aircraft around the globe.  Instead of the traditional “man fights alien or alien fights man” blueprint, the movie is about the peaceful interactions between humans and aliens.  Amy Adams plays a linguist that tries to learn and study alien language in order to communicate peacefully with them.  Release Date: November 11th, 2016.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a fantasy action film by J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter.  It is a spin-off of the Harry Potter series and a prequel to the books and films that she created.   Release Date: November 18th. 2016.

DECEMBER

La La Land is a romantic musical drama starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and J.K. Simmons.  It is about a musician and aspiring actress that falls in love in Los Angeles.   Release Date: December 9th, 2016.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a spin-off movie of the legendary Star Wars franchise.   The story line is completely separate from the original movies, but it acknowledges all Star Wars history and events.  Release Date: December 16th.

  1. I’ve been acting my whole life, been in numerous plays. I’ve taken a few workshops and am taking more, ready to start my acting career. I live in Louisiana but I am open to traveling wherever you would need me paid or non paid. Acting is my passion and I am ready to pursue it!
