Feature Film Hot Summer Nights Casting Call for Male Extra

The feature film Hot Summer Nights is currently filming in the Atlanta area and is seeking a male extra to portray ‘A Very Nice Guy Who Always Finishes Last’ in an upcoming film shoot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Hot Summer Nights is a coming-of-age drama that will be set in the year 1991 and follows the story of a teen boy who befriends the town rebel and consequently spirals out of control. He falls madly in love, gets involved with an unsavory people and gets entangled in a drug ring. This all takes place over the course of one hot and stormy summer in Cape Cod.

According to Deadline Elijah Bynum is making his Directorial debut with his script, Hot Summer Nights, which has been on ‘The Black list’ since 2013. Bynum landed two scripts on the Black List in 2013, Mississippi Mud and Hot Summer Nights. The Black List is an annual survey that lists the most liked unproduced screenplays and has been published every December since 2004.

Maika Monroe who starred in the horror flick It Follows and the Lifetime movie The Bling Ring will star opposite Timothee Chalamet (who is best known for his roles Interstellar and Worst Friends) and Alex Roe (who is best known for his roles in Sniper: Legacy and The Cut).

Casting Details

The casting team with CL Casting Has released a casting call for a male extra who can portray a ‘Friend-Zone’ type of guy. The team is seeking a male who is between the ages of 18-21 who can play younger. Interested talent must have full availability and must be local to the Atlanta area.
