Tyler Perry Studios and TBS have agreed to renew their hit show For Better or Worse. The cable network has ordered 35 additional episodes of the show that revolves around the ups and downs of marriage and dating and stars Tasha Williams, Michael Jai White, Crystle Stewart, Kent Faulcon, Kiki Haynes and Jason Olive. For Better or Worse will join a slate that includes new sitcoms Men at Work, and The Wedding Band, with Brian Austin Green. The casting directors are now taking applications for union and non union actors to fill in several extra and day roles for the series. For Better Or Worse is a mix between comedy and drama that will follow the crazy relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex-football player turned sports commentator. Tasha Smith will resume her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus, who is all about giving him hell every step of the way. The show will also follow the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. For Better Or Worse is groundbreaking television and is the biggest TV show that movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sitcom format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. Like always, viewers will get life-changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment.
