Fans of Glee and all things game shows rejoice, NBC has announced their new game show Hollywood Game Night witch will be hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch. Hollywood Game Night is a pretty awesome-sounding game show, where everyday people spend a night playing games with celebrities. The hilarious Jane Lynch will host, and Sean Hayes from ‘Will & Grace’ will produce it. Some of the stars signed up for the show include Amy Poehler, Matthew Perry, Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolf and Martin Short. The network said Friday that it ordered eight episodes of the new game show and this is your opportunity to audition to be a contestant. Do you have a family “game night” where you all set aside an evening to just play a few board or card games together? If so than you do not want to miss your chance to audition for Hollywood Game Night. Set to do the series so far are Amy Poehler, Matthew Perry, Jason Bateman, Kristin Bell and fiance Dax Shephard, Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Minnie Driver, Kal Penn, Martin Short, Ellie Kemper, Kristen Chenoweth, Cheryl Hines, Molly Shannon and Max Greenfield, with more expected to join.
Part Hollywood club and part casual game night Hollywood Game Night will feature A-list celebrities hanging out and living it up in a cocktail party atmosphere. In each episode, two contestants will be transported from their everyday lives into a night of fun and celebration where they get to rub shoulders with the celebrity crowd. At the end, one of the contestants will walk away with a cash prize and a night of stories and memories. Hollywood Game Night sounds like a night in with famous celebrities instead of friends and family.
Game shows have had a regular presence in NBC’s reality lineup, with such entries as Deal Or No Deal, utility player Minute To Win It, Who’s Still Standing, and the current Howie Mandel’s Take It All.
So…what celeb would you like to play what game with? The casting directors are now taking contestant applications for Hollywood Game Night and this is your chance to play your favorite board game with one of your favorite celebrities so if you are a board game pro or just want to hang out with A Listers than do not miss out on your chance. I absolutely LOVE this show and am constantly cracking up at the people playing while at the same time being stressed out. The celebrities are hilarious and funny, self deprecating and so laid back it feels like when I play charades with my own friends. The celebrities I’d most like to be on the show with are Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Melissa McCarthy or Jimmy Fallon. As for what me, I’ve got a sarcastic sense of humor and a freakish (according to my friends) recall of random facts, music, movie lines, and pop culture. This show would be a dream come true – and honestly, I don’t have an interest in being famous or acting – just to participate in what is the best game show I’ve ever seen!!

OMG, I get so pumped when watching this show, it makes me smile and feel warm and fuzzy all over just like when I watch Ellen!! It’s a feel good show and there’s nothing more fun than playing games, having a beverage of your choice , and laughing and having a great time!! I love Jane lynch, and would be so incredibly in awwwwhhhh to meet anyone of those beautiful actors/ comedians !!! NOTHING COULD EVER TOP IT!! (BUCKET LIST).
