NBC has started production for their new thriller TV show Hannibal. The show is developed by Bryan Fuller and is based on the series of novels by Thomas Harris and will focus on the budding relationship between FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham’s most cunning enemy. The new take on serial killer Hannibal Lecter is shaping up to be quite an interesting (and series-TV-friendly) departure from films like “Silence of the Lambs.” Production on Hannibal has started and the casting directors are now looking for numerous extra and feature roles for the new series  They are currently taking applications and this could be your chance for that big break that you have been waiting for.

Will Graham is a gifted criminal profiler who is on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI. Graham’s unique way of thinking gives him the astonishing ability to empathize with anyone – even psychopaths. He seems to know what makes them tick. But when the mind of the twisted killer he’s pursuing is too complicated for even Will to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country. Armed with the uncanny expertise of the brilliant doctor, Will and Hannibal (known as a serial killer only to the audience) form a brilliant partnership and it seems there’s no villain they can’t catch. If Will only knew…

  1. I would love for a chance at the role Clarice Starling. I am new to the industry so I have a fresh face. I see her as a strong woman who believes in hard work. The thing that draws you into her character is her unyielding spirit, intelligence, and ability to maintain a sense of right and wrong. she is also not afraid to assert her opinion when she thinks someone is out of line, regardless of the consequences.

    I have lots of acting experience, as well as voice. Hannibal is a project I have deeply admired and connected with from its conception. I’m sure you all hear this every day, but I think I have a ‘look’ you are looking for. My work ethic is almost as strong as Jack Crawford’s :).     • Also worth mentioning: in my past stage productions, I’ve been cast as everything from Action in West Side Story at age 14 to 30 year old Rona Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee last spring. I am fit as well!

I have a large personality and I have the ability to morph into almost anything as needed. I love working a large crowd and I am told I am very good at it. Hello/Good day, my name is Kayla I am 17 years old, 5″5, 125 lbs, blonde short hair, green/grey eyes, fit and currently dwelling near the Toronto Canada region, I have absolutely no actual acting experience unless school plays qualify. However I am eager and hardworking as well as very interes and open to the opportunity of being an extra or even having the ability to help around on the set.     – About 110 pounds (this may change drastically because I live 2 blocks from a McDonalds. hah. Joking)
    – I live in San Francisco, California. I’m willing to travel.
    – I have dark brown eyes and medium length dark hair that I’m willing to cut or dye.
    – I have a thin, boyish physique.

    While searching for some books to read, I stumbled across Red Dragon and immediately became completely immersed in the Hannibal realm. Then, lo and behold, I watched Season 1 of the NBC Hannibal program with my friends and absolutely loved it. I’ve done a few fun and nonsense short films, nothing serious(probably not even worth mentioning ha). I’m not very experienced(I’m just taking a few fun theatre classes for my extracurricular requirements), but I’ve always toyed with and dwelled on the idea of making acting a career. I figured I should probably start acting(pun definitely intended) upon that and start building up some experience for the possible future.
    I’ve included a temporary tumblr account because I can’t figure out how to attach a photo(or maybe it’s not possible, and I’m an idiot). Feel free to gaze through to see what I look like.

    Weight: 135lbs.
    Shoe Size: 10-11
    Hair Color: Brown (head); Black w/ hints of other (beard). I only comb my beard and never my head/top hair. My top hair grows out in no particular fashion, but it can be called shaggy.
    Beard: the beard in my photo is approximately 1/2”, but I have been growing it out and continue to grow it out; it is currently at 2”.
    Misc: I wear contact lenses, but where glasses occasionally; I am vegan; I smoke marijuana, shisha, and the occasional cigar, but not cigarettes; I drink, but have an ill-taste for scotch and scotch-whiskey blends, and a preferred taste for beer, the favorite being Heineken; I am beginning lessons in tai chi.

    I do not expect anything to come of this; the only acting experience I have comes from high school and my second semester in college during which I was in the Spanish play “Blood Wedding”. During high school I performed on stage in comedies (e.g. “Servant of Two Masters” as Silvio in which I recall acting out a fight scene with a fencing sword, and from what I recall lasting approximately 30-90 seconds) and musicals (e.g. “Urinetown” as Lockstock), although I won’t say I my voice is suited for song. I quit acting to pursue science and philosophy and ended up graduating with a degree in physics and mathematics. I currently work as a technician at a medical office as well as a private tutor in mathematics.

    Why: to be quite frank, there is no why. I love the show and the nuances surrounding the plot’s psychology and philosophy. Ironically a vegan I am intrigued by cannibalism and the growing understanding of its place in history and its reasonable utilization by individuals and certain societies in either unique cultures or extreme circumstances that call for radical measures. I do not want to pursue acting as a life-long career, but I thought it would be an interesting experience to at least once in my life act on television; and I’ll admit I love acting. I had speech therapy throughout all my life up until middle school, and still struggled a bit with social skills. Theatre in high school helped to bring my voice and unique set of expressions out of me.

    I do not want a role in which I play someone dead or an extra. Either a one-episode or recurring role I would only want.

  7. I live in London, Ontario so not that far from Toronto where the show was filmed. I’m just really curious about being a victim/extra in the show. For some reason it would be neat to see me get killed on screen and weird out my friends.

    That, and I have such a huge passion for the show. I’ve got some theater acting as well. I’m 6’1, brown eyes, beard, and short, quiff-like hair.

    I have been in a big theatre for 6 years and I had 7 main roles. (I was the youngest, it was the highest group).

  14. I am currently a master carpenter for Theatre Charlotte, and a theatre student at Greensboro College.

    My name is Emily Mazelin. I live in Greensboro and Charlotte, NC, but would be willing to travel. I turn 19 next week, am Caucasian, 4’10.5″ in height, have a slim body type weighing in at 86lbs, with straight brown hair and large hazel eyes.

    I am a stage theatre worker, usually stage manager or designer. I work most heavily in properties, scenic, and sound. I have also acted and am possibly playing in “Carrie: The Musical” this year. I am very interested in working as an extra or minor role in the upcoming season of Hannibal. I am also interested in any opportunities to help with the phenomenal properties work on the show.   15. I love Hannibal Lecter movies and I have always dreamed of being in something involving his character!!!!!
    HELLO,
    My name is Camryn Capizzi, form San Diego CA (but I would be willing and able to travel if needed),
    I am very recently 19 years old (as of February 16th, 2013), I am fair/light skinned caucasian female, with very curly fair blonde hair (I would be willing to temporarily straighten or dye my hair, even permanently dye it depending on the color), I have medium-big sized blue eyes (medium hue), I am 5’6″, 160 lbs, and have an apple-type body shape.

    I have always love to perform and have an extensive performance resume, but most of all I perform musically. I have a youtube channel with only one song as of now. I have worked and performed with The (Paul Green) School of Rock in Chatham NJ and Vista CA for 5 years as of graduation last year, and work and perform with the Chops Woodshed Academy in Solana Beach CA for 1 year, and play many-multiple instruments proficiently, including vocals.

    Although I am very much into music, I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, and I am very good at it too, but unfortunately do not have as much experience performing as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work extremely hard to even get close to, and I desperately want this. I have an upbeat personality and also have been told that I have great comedic timing, but my favorite thing to do is drama- and the more twisted and messed up the better. I would put my whole heart and soul into making people love my character, and if you choose me, I promise I will come at it with everything I have got.
