FX has announced that they will be airing Legit, a scripted comedy series starring Australian comedian Jim Jefferies. The male oriented network has said that it has given the green-lit for a 13 episode run and the series will revolve around the comedians misguided attempts to become legitimate in life. Legit will be co-created by Jefferies and Peter O’Fallon(The Riches), Dan Bakkedahl co-stars as Steve, Jim’s best friend, with DJ Qualls set to play Steve’s brother, Billy. The comedy series is set to air at the end of January and the casting directors are now taking applications for several extra roles along with stand ins for the series. They are looking for union and non union male actors over the age of 18 and this could be your opportunity to get on the FX.

Legit joins a roster of scripted comedies at FX including It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Archer, Louie and Wilfred as well as the upcoming Charlie Sheen vehicle, Anger Management. Jeffries’ brash, vulgar and even bleak comedic stylings are along the same lines of honesty and grittiness of Louis CK,and it will be a perfect fit for for FX. The series will focus on a comedian, “Jim” (Jefferies) and his misguided attempts to become legitimate in life. He is encouraged in his quest by his best friend “Steve” (Dan Bakkedahl), and Steve’s brother “Billy”.

The casting directors at FX are now taking applications for union and non union male actors for several scenes in the comedy series.
