Lone Survivor is based on the failed June 28, 2005 mission “Operation Red Wing.” Four members of SEAL Team 10, were tasked with the mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader, Admad Shad. Marcus Luttrell was the only member of his team to survive .Joining Mark Walhberg will be Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch, Alexander Ludwin and Eric Bana. After having Universal buy up the rights to Luttrell’s book, developing the project for five years and it finally has been confirmed. Director Peter Berg is now looking for for extras to play in the film. Lone Survivor is a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to get into the acting industry.
Universal Pictures, which developed the movie, will distribute Lone Survivor and Berg, who covered the Middle East terrain previously with the taut drama The Kingdom, has put in the work on this one. He wrote the Lone Survivor script after embedding with a SEAL team for a month in Iraq, an experience that really gave him a chance to see how they do their job. Berg wanted to make the film immediately, but two years ago the studio made him a bargain: direct Battleshipand then follow with Lone Survivor. The timing hasn’t hurt, at all.
The casting directors are now looking for numerous talent to play as soldiers and civilians for The Lone Survivor.
