If you are a fan of the show Shameless, the Showtime drama that follows the dysfunctional family of a single father of six, Frank Gallagher, then you’ll be happy to know that the show will soon return for its second season. This unique drama highlights how Frank’s alcoholism directly effects his family, a family that lives right in the suburbs, a show that might normally be placed in a trailer park and a idea that John Wells had to fight. He wanted to help show the world that the reality is that these people don’t just live in crummy side of town, they can live just down the block from you.
The main cast of the show include William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher, Emmy Rossum as Fiona, the eldest of Frank’s children, Jeremy Allen White is Phillip “Lip” , Cameron Monaghan is Ian Gallagher, Emma Kenney plays Debbie & Ethan Cutkosky plays Carl the second youngest of the kids.
HBO originally began trying to develop the show from original British version of the show, but by Oct 2009 development of the show had moved to Showtime. Although the show is set in Chicago, very few scenes are actually shot outside LA. Only the exterior scenes are filmed in Chicago.
