Auditions for TV Hit "Project Runway"
Casting Directors Auditioning for “Project Runway”

Heidi Klum is back! She is holding auditions for “Project Runway”. Her team of stylish soldiers is making a fierce comeback on Lifetime Television with her “Project Runway” project. This American reality television series was previously on Bravo network and was picked up my Lifetime in 2009. “Project Runway” is now back for the 10th season! The series will run for 12 one hour episodes and will feature new contestants for the new season which will be filmed this year.  In prior episodes Heidi Klum had friends such as Michael Kors, Roberto Cavalli, Vera Wang, and even Rachel Zoe on her show. Celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Christina Aguilera have also guest starred with Klum. With the new, single, and improved Heidi in the Hollywood scene, this next season is expected to be a hit. The station is prepared for outstanding ratings just to see Heidi Klum and her team work with Americas next top designer.

“Project Runway” uses elimination to reduce the initial 12 contestants down to 3 before the final challenges occur. The point of the show is to influence the already talented designers to create marvelous and unforgettable pieces and get a chance to have their own line. Different themes and materials are utilized throughout the show; from top notch fabric factories, down to things that could be found at a party store. Winners receive a $100,000 check to start their own fashion line, an editorial feature in Marie Claire magazine, the opportunity to sell their line on Piperlime, as well as a $50,000 technology suite from Hewlett-Packard (HP) Computers. The series has become so successful that recently a PC and Wii game have been released for kids and adults to partake in the “Project Runway” experience. How fun!

If you feel you have what it take to be the next incredible fashion designer, or have dreamed of showcasing some of your pieces on the catwalks and runways of New York City and Milan then this is definitely your opportunity to shine. The network producers and casting directors around the country are now casting for “Project Runway” and would love to see your audition tape or video reel. Make sure to send out your headshot and work portfolio immediately to get a chance to be the next “Project Runway” star! Good luck!

  1. I was thinking about going to Parson school of design. Would I be able to do project runway since Tim Gunne went there and was a teacher there also? I was reading the rules about relatives and acquaintances that you can’t be involved with project runway.

  2. My big brother won the Project Runway Philippines season 1 before and I was wondering If he could compete in the US as well. An international audience and Famous designers would really look good in his career in Fashion. Praise to God, even though we’re not rich, he was blessed with God given talent in Fashion, No glamorous fashion school in his background, but hands like a surgeon with from patterns to full completion of dress. Startes to draw ball gowns at age 4.

  5. I am Ule, 25 years old from the Philippines. At an early age, I have realized my passion in creating garments. I loved drawing dresses when i was a kid and thought I want to make them real, something that makes people happy when they see them because it makes me happy looking at them. ^^ I believed that creating fashion is not just by imagining design but also understanding the patterns, materials and process behind those garments. And as I really wanted it so badly I am so much in a hurry wishing to give my parents a better life that I decided to do it the right way. I took vocational course in dress making when I was in High school, I had my Bachelor’s degree in Textile and Garment technology in college, and I am currently taking my Master’s degree major in Fashion Design here in Seoul Korea.I am not telling people because I know it sounds like an impossible dream but the end goal of this journey is to become one of the famous designers and I know Project Runway can make it happen. I believe that one day I will be deserving to be in the show. Great show. ^^

I am a detail oriented and a team player with high work ethics with the ability to multitask and work tight deadlines. I have multiple collections in which I have designed, drafted, and sewn from concept to completion. I have also acquired a strong foundation in areas such as technical design, fashion forecasting, knowledge of textiles and fabrics, advanced draping, collection concept and development, specialized patternmaking in knitwear, advanced patternmaking, and knowledge on manufacturing processes; in which, I received awards in some of these areas. My work as a fashion design intern has reinforced skills obtained throughout my education, as well as provided me with an in-depth understanding of designing and implementing visual communication materials. I would be honored to demonstrate how my education, experience, and creativity can contribute to Project Runway. I look forward to discussing my qualifications further.

  15. NO HONEY!!! You cannot be a Fashion Designer by heart!!!..You must know how to make patterns, drape, sew, sketch, design and understand the markets…you need someking of education…an AA or BA degree in Fashion Design!…You don’t learn fashion Design in 8 months like Hair School..YOU ARE A HEADRESSER!!!…

  16. I works love nothing more than an opportunity of a life time to be a candidate for consideration! Fashion is MY LIFE, I’ve been sewing since I was 5 years old. I commuted to another state for school everyday for 3 years until I got my degree. I knit, dye, drape, make and grade patterns. Along with hand beading wedding dresses. This would be a dream to come true for my designs to bee seen and my line exposed to the world. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.

  17. I’m very much passionate about fashion designing and just love the show – Project Runway.
However I’m currently working in an MNC. And I’m from India. Am I eligible to participate ? I want to showcase Indian sense of fashion that come from every state and region in different ways in hollywood style. It’s will be dream come true if I get this chance.
if I get selected it will turn my life whole 180. And the show will get some hot spices too.

  18. ALENA FEDE | Fashion, interior, graphic designer, artist, from Russia, Moscow, lives in USA, Charleston, SC. From Italian word “Fede” means “Faith”— That you cannot give up. Always keep it moving… keep going. Do not be afraid of expressing yourself with your ideas and creativity”

  19. I submitted a video and portfolio for season 13;however, I don’t believe it was received in enough time to be reviewed to be included in the casting call. I have a great perspective on fashion and as a young teen, boldly going where no one dared, I redesigned my mom’s BEST suit to fit my girlish frame and I am still alive to tell the story! That alone qualifies me for a spot on season 14. Beyond being
an honor graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology, recipient of the Adam and Sophie Gimbel award, Ruth Scharf’s design Critic’s Award winner, inductee into Who’s Who in business and a Family and Consumer Science educator, I am a designer’s original waiting to be revealed to the world. I have unparalleled experiences to bring to Project Runway. I have been an avid fan of Project Runway since its inception and decided to throw my hat in the ring for an opportunity to be discovered. I am looking forward to receiving a call…my clock is ticking!

  22. I am very interested in doing this show because I believe deep down in my heart that it is part of my journey my story is very interesting on how I initially started fashion it was more of what I can’t do and that I’m not good enough, to going to school and winning to categories in our gold thimble fashion show I think I would be a great candidate for this show especially with my character and ambition thanks and I hope to hear from you all soon.

  24. I have been sewing since I could pick up a needle and thread. I made Barbie clothes. Designed and wore plastic jeans. I won 3rd place in a designer’s fashion show. I remade suits tor women who couldn’t afford to buy them and designed wedding gowns for the bride yo be that couldn’t find what she was looking for. I never attended fashion school but have a passion for designing and westing fabulous clothes. I would love yo have the opportunity to show not only people around me that I am talented but check one more item off of my bucket list.

    • Just because you know how to sew that does not make you a professional Fashion Designer!..Do you how many people in the apparel industry know how to sew well in commercial sewing machines?…PUH-LEASE BE REAL TO YOURSELF!

      • That was mean, Heidi. Obviously there is more to design than sewing. DF is just emphasizing that he/she does not have formal education in fashion design, even though he/she has a variety of sewing experience. In other words, DF is indicating that he/she may have enough skill to compete. After all, Anya Ayong-Chee learned to sew during her nineth season competition AND went on to win Project Runway. A more useful reply to DF would be to list the criteria for competition on the show.

  25. Hello,
I should be considered for project runway casting because I have auditioned a total of 9 times since they started. The first time (2007) I was told in NY that my clothes were ‘too ethnic’, but alas, runways today across the world are using African/ethnic prints! I was #Futuristic! I was also told second time that I should have a fashion degree. But I already have 2 Bachelors degrees and 2 Masters. I thought myself to sew…why do I need another degree? More so, people without degrees have contested! I am a successful, award-winning International/ African Fashion designer. I am originally from Nigeria. Nigeria has been lately in the news a lot and that would translate to TV ratings for projectrunway. I am also a radical activist.

I am a couturier and an eco designer. I make wearable garments from any and every material in the environment. #Creative. I have a collection called #ReStyleCle for that.

After 9 auditions, I am sure Thomas Edison is even proud of me!
    Pick me, pretty please.

  26. I’m very interested please let me know where I can apply. I just want to send my folio in at this point I don’t want to tell I want show what I am capable of, it’s truly my mission to make it to this show and hopefully win.
