Recently new photos have emerged from the set of Thor 2: The Dark World and the film looks like its going to be one of the best Marvel movies yet. The recent pictures have hinted at a darker and grittier tone for the sequel, which is being directed by Alan Taylor, whose previous experience as a director on HBO’s Game Of Thrones has familiarized him with the aesthetics and mechanics of a myth-meets-medieval world. Thor 2 will be staring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins and many more. The movie will be produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and is set to release sometime at the end of 2013. The casting directors are having movie auditions for extras to play in the much anticipated sequel. This is an opportunity for any Marvel fan to get on set of a movie or for anyone that is looking to do extra work on what is tuning out to be a huge blockbuster.
Although the full plot details have not been released Marvel president Kevin Feige said: “Thor 2 will primarily be the journey of that character, of he and Jane Foster and how the new dynamic with his father is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for the Nine Worlds.” It is also said that the story of Thor 2 will pick up after Loki has been transported back to Asgard to face punishment for his crimes against Earth in The Avengers.
Castings are now underway for casting calls for extras to be in the film. The directors are looking for talent to play as extras in several battles along with other roles.
