Lifetime has announced that they will be filming a new drama series Witches Of East End that is based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel with the same title. The show stars Julia Ormond as the mother of Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Rachel Boston. The plot revolves around the the grown daughters not knowing that they are their family’s next generation of witches. Buffy The Vampire Slayer alum Tom Lenk will also join the cast and will play Hudson Rafferty, Ingrid’s fellow librarian and gay best friend who helps her cast a fertility spell on one of their pals. Witches Of East End will be produced by Dawson’s Creek producer Maggie Freidman and this is your opportunity to be cast for what has the potential to be a very popular drama series on the Lifetime network. The casting directors are still casting for several supporting roles along with numerous extras for Witches Of East End.
Witches Of East End centers on the adventures of Joanna Beauchamp (Ormond) and her two adult daughters. Joanna is a sexy, warm, artistic, tough, ethereal beauty who has been concealing a shocking secret from her daughters specially that they are witches born and bred. Having put her magical past and powers on hold, Joanna is now living a quiet life as a small town art teacher, but in the face of a grave and immediate danger, it seems the only way out is for the trio to rediscover their skills.
The casting directors are now taking applications for several supporting roles for Witches Of East End, they are looking for actors with previous experience ages 18 to 22.
