The long-running CBS series “The Mentalist” is now casting an episode for Season Five which films in Late August! This mystery/drama show stars Simon Baker and Robin Tunney.  Nine roles are being cast for filming at the end of this month. “The Mentalist” is an American police procedural television series that is on CBS. It has been running for the past 4 years and has renewed for the fifth season. “The Mentalist” stars actors Simon Baker, Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman, and Amanda Righetti. Executive producer Bruno Heller and David Nutter have created an entertaining fictional police drama for the CBS Network. It has been compared to the storyline of House, Murdoch Mysteries, Law & Order, and Monk. Character Patrick Jane played by Simon Baker is the shows protagonist and the entire show is based off of him. He is an independent consultant for the Caligornia Bureau of Investigation in Sacramento, CA. He uses his psychic medium abilities to team up with CBI and solve multiple crime mysteries and events. His mission though? Hunting down the killer “Red John” who killed Patrick’s wife and daughter brutally years prior.

Casting directors are looking to book 4 specific recurring roles, a few photo doubles for actors Simon Baker, Robin Tunney, and Tim Kang. Make sure to google their photos to find out what they look like before applying for the photo double. And they are also looking for extras and featured extras for the show as well. There are multiple scenes throughout the series. The show is set to be broadcast on CBS for indefinitely. Casting directors are looking for submissions of headshots and acting resumes. You do not need to be a SAG actor or professional actor in order to be in the series, you just need to be serious about your profession and be available to work on set for multiple days and hours. This is a great opportunity for actors to set their foot into the industry and gain national exposure. Make sure to find a casting department close to you and send your information in as auditions are over the next few weeks. Good luck!

  4. Acting has always been a hobby of mine, but now I am ready for it to become my life. I have been taking classes and lessons for acting all my life and I really love to challenge myself. I like seeing people get surprised and shocked at what I can do. It’s always been something that made me happy to do. When people tell me that I did great or give me a compliment I am so excited. When they give me negative response, I don’t get down. When I get negative response I just ask them what could I do better and I take that in consideration. The negative responses make me a better actress and I embrace them. Just give me one chance and I promise I will not let you down.
