  6. Growing up I have always taken an interest to dance, but didn’t know how to pursue it. In high school I would practice the choreography of music videos from Usher to Ciara. Then as So You Think You Can Dance premiered on television (in 2005 my graduation year) I remember being intrigued and taken into the variety of dances preformed from salsa to contemporary. I wanted to learn them, so I practice movements in the privacy of my room, and when no one was around I would practice in the living room. I have not been professionally trained, but I have taken a few classes from an instructor at the gym I work for. I would really like the opportunity to test myself to see if I truly have what it takes to dance with the best. Dancing to me is meditation, it calms my mind, and reminds that life shouldn’t be taken seriously. Give me music and I shall dance. I would like to put my passion for dance to the test, if given this opportunity I will take full advantage of it and put myself out there fully. My dance style is unrefined but fluent. My name is Vincent and I think I can dance!

  17. So You think You Can Dance is with no question one of the most engaging, and successful show due to the highly talented dancers, choreographers, and judges. The success of the show has a steady consistency, and I want to expand it and introduce its turning point. My name is Sandra; I am an Egyptian girl who was raised in cairo for thirteen years. My only chance I got to dance was during weddings, family parties, and at home. I mastered the art of belly dancing; I realized this when I moved to the U.S at the age of thirteen, and started teaching it at the age of 16 at San Jose State University. Although it is belly dancing that I have mastered, I also have the technical background required for the show. I double major in Biology and Dance at San Jose State University where I am in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and hip hop classes daily. I know I will be an asset to the show due to my passion, skill, and dedication. In addition, my diverse skills will contribute to a major turning point of the show.

  18. I am 22 years old and i have been a dancing my whole life and i have also always been the best at everything i do and i dance!!! if given the opportunity to show case my love and talent for dance i can promise you that you have the next So You Think You Can Dance WINNER!!

  19. I am 18 and I have always been dancing since before I could walk. I’m just a dancer who is looking for an amazing experience to further my dance career and hopefully help me mature in the dance world. I have no one set style that I dance I just express my emotions through the music like all other dancers.

  20. I know i was born to do this because Rhythm has always been natural for me-I never learned it anywhere and I was able to dance way before I was ever trained by anyone. I learn much faster than the average person, my body is very flexible, and I’m natural at acting. Talent for dancing means that you were born with the following 3 things: acting, movement and musicality. I’ve always had all 3! And now I’m a trained dancer too, bitches! So I know it’ s my destiny. Oh and it’s for myself- and NOT to impress my family or friends or what society thinks of me-I really don’t give a crap about those other things. Dancing to music I LOVE is orgasmic!

  21. I come to you with an extensive background of both dance and travel. Originally born raised both in the U.S. and Europe, I have most recently moved to New York City to pursue my career.
As a young boy, watching my mother dance was always one of my favorite past-times. She was always dancing to make me smile, and so I became inspired to bring the same gift to the world! Since the age of 5, I has been studying all forms of dance from different parts of the globe. By the age of 12, I began to choreograph my own routines and began instructing at local dance studios.
My repertoire includes the styles of Latin-Ballroom Dancing, Hip-Hop Dancing, Interpretative Dancing, Belly Dancing, and Tribal Dancing. However, being that my favorite form of dance is that which comes from my heart, I prefer to call my work “Free Style Art”. Although I am not trained in all forms of dance, I have an innate ability to quickly learn any form of dance, and to dance it spectacularly!
Since the age of 16, I have worked in a multitude of positions, including stage production at the Florida Theater, with dance companies such as Fred Astaire Dance Academy, and at major festivals such as Global Dance. I have also added to my unique style through doing choreographing routines for private films and shows, and night-scene productions from California to New York. I have learned my art working as a choreographer, stage productionist, studio manager, and show director.
My choreography illustrates creativity, innovation, and movement to produce the breath-taking effect of precision and beauty. I hold a strong conviction that the purpose of dance is to tell your own story through a combination of movement and music, bringing together and blending the boundaries of dance, music, and voice. Through my choreography and dancing, my greatest aspiration is to tell the story of, not only the music, but also its players, singer, and writers. This way, watching my productions, you begin to feel connected to the me, the dancer, and the song. My philosophy states: “How better to know a song than to dance it”. I push myself and my students to become one with the music and dance with the rhythm; dancing that challenges the mind as well as the heart is what inspires my art. I have achieved more than most can dream, and yet my story is only beginning. I know the only way to move forward is to study and grow through my experiences and, of course, DANCE! This show would my hardest challenge yet and I would love to take part and even maybe one day choreograph with the choreographers on the show.
    PICK ME!! HAHAHA

  22. Dance isn’t just something I do, it defines who I am and wat I stand for as a person. Dance is one of the most important things in my life. Without dance I really don’t know where I would be.

  23. I believe i am a optimistic person, who does not like to give up and works hard until the end. Open to learn and receive constructive critism… God gave me a talent i owe him who i am and i will give my heart to every beat of the music.

  24. I should be considered for the show because first and foremost my dream is to become a dancer in movies, commercials, clubs, events, etc. I have been a gogo dancer for about 7 years and I am trained in all different styles of dance including, hiphop, ballet, jazz, pop lock, break dance, etc. Its just been so hard trying to make it here in Los Angeles and I need a big chance to show people what I got. I just moved here from Washington, DC but originally from Colorado Springs, CO. I just need a big break and I hope you can make my dreams come true. Im tired of working dead end jobs that also get in the way of my dancing career…Im tried of living pay check to pay check. Please consider me! Thank you! *YO*

  25. I started dancing when I was two years old. my life revolves around dance and family. I’m the youngest in my family and want to be heard. For me, dancing is the only way I can scream the loudest. My passion is dance and I express myself through it. I would be nothing without dance. I was a member of Ballet Etudes company and performed in the Nutcracker. I have been a member of several companies and hope to be part of the addicting show So You Think You Can Dance! Thank You

  30. I think our crew “Mash E.N.T.” should be on the show because dancing is all we talk about. We dance 24/7 without a doubt. Every since our younger ages we been dreaming about this moment to have and praying we could have a chance to show the world what we can do. Season 1 was a hit, I loved EVERY crew on there but i eat and sleep Jabbawockeez. Our crew name is known around our town for dancing and making music. So i hope we get a chance to prove to everyone that dreams do come true.

I am currently a college student but I long for more in my dancing career. I am very confident that I will impress the judges enough to be able to get the chance to participate on So You Think You Can Dance. Dance is my life and it is my passion. Being able to showcase my talents and share a mutal interest with other aspiring dances would be the opportunity of a lifetime!

  34. Dancing is my life it has been in me since the womb.I danced in
High school never professional but a dancer is made not created.I know I have what it takes and would be honored to prove my dreams to America.

  35. My reason for being on SO You Think YOU CAN DANCE IS beacuse ive always wanted to be on television and not only that ive seen other people dancing and other things like that ive been dancing for years but ive never been able to shine at least one time.I ant to become the next Michael.Jackson i have what it takes to reach that point because i have a dream and im really willing to reach it i dream it, eat it, sleep it, and. I will even marry my own dream if i have to ive lost people and people have told me i can never be the next michael.jackson so i want to be the one that show those people and the people that are always discouraged about there talent that they can make it. IM FROM GARY, INDIANA AND NO ONE ever shined so i have to change that.

  36. At the age of three I was reluctant to start dancing despite my mother’s continuing efforts to convince me that it would be fun. After a long battle my mom won and I started dancing at a near by school. Every year it brought me more joy than the previous year. Three days ago was my senior recital and it brought tears to my eyes to think that I would be done dancing. I realize now that I can’t get away from dancing. No matter what it takes I am going to work hard to be the best dancer that I can be. Wherever life takes me, I will be dancing.

  37. At the age of three I was reluctant to start dancing despite my mother’s continuing efforts to convince me that it would be fun.

  38. I was not raise in a studio but I believe that I am a great dancer. I have self taught myself by watch those around me and practicing on my own to become the best dancer i can be. I am currently a choreographer for a dance studio in Miami FL for a jazz team. I also teach jazz workshops on a monthly bases. To be a great dance you need to have the heart. My heart along with hard work has gotten me to my where I am today with my dancing. You can’t teach heart; it lives inside of you and can only be seen by those around you as a radiant glow of joy.

  39. Dance is what defines ME. Since the age of 6, I have been dancing in church and different organizations growing up. I could never see myself doing anything else that would continue to give me enthusiasm like dancing does. I am currently eighteen years old experiencing the many joys of dance, by performing, choreographing and teaching the art. Time waits for no one and I do not want to waste a second on any opportunities that will help me in my journey. I dream to be a professional dancer, and choreographer as well as inspire young talented dancers every where to pursue their dreams. I am confident that I have what it takes to make it on So You Think You Can Dance and perform to the expectations of the judges and perhaps the world.
