  3. Born and raised first generation American, made it to be an accountant to make the family proud and prove they came to this country for the better, after having left their entire family in Europe. After several years in tax, I have found happiness in the kitchen, cooking from the heart, and make each dish with care whether its done in 10 minutes to 2 hours of work and preparation. I cook lean and quick meals but know how to have a cheat day, and love showing others that cooking is simple, and any dish can be achievable.

  4. Select me! I have the passion, drive and determination to win master chef! I will be good TV! I’m witty, cocky, and likeable with an extreme set of skills for cooking al wrapped in one!

  5. I am 23 years old and live in Santa Clarita, CA. I’m an avid fan of the show and watching the amazing dishes that come out makes me thrive to improve on my own cooking. I’m a self-taught chef with a lot of room to grow, but my dishes are mouth-watering and delicious. My kitchen is small – like minuscule – and an opportunity to cook anything I want without worrying about setting off my sensitive fire alarm would be wonderful. Please consider me to be not just on the show, but serving up incredible food.

  6. I love to cook .I grew up in a Hispanic family and home cooked meals are the best.I’d be honored if I was given this chance of a lifetime.

  7. I am a retired vice principal of a Middle School. I live in Tucson AZ and love to play around in the kitchen. I would love to be part of this show. My personality and creativiity are just what you are looking for.

  8. Cooking is what inspires me, everything about it. I love watching chef Ramsay on Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares you are the best! I am not a trained chef I’m self taught but I love cooking for family and friends. I can cook a wide range of different dishes and giving the opportunity I could really shine! I keep it clean and fresh and its all about the flavors, taste and presentation. I love cooking mexican food, tacos and burritos are my thing one bite and you’ll see. Chef I could make you a hot dog and and you would think you were eating a steak. I’m extremely confindent in what I cook however, when it comes to bragging I let my food do the talking. It would be greatly appreciated to be mentored by the master chef himself and with that I ask that I can recieve just one chance to show you what I can do. Please pick me Chef i will not let you down 100%.

  9. ha ha ha. your house is insufficient for a feast. Yup get a job but opening a restaurant requires you to show up in a timely fashion. There isn’t enough time in a day to get your hair ad wardrobe ready to film. Bragging rights for cooking?

  10. I don’t like to brag but when it comes to cooking I rock the kitchen!
Anyone who comes for dinner party or holiday feast is always impressed by my cooking skills…organized, great timing, and a flare for presentation. Cooking has been my passion since I was a kid….love reading all the great food magazines (Fine Cooking) one of my favs! But the funny thing is, that I always end up improvising. I just seem to have an inate knack for knowing what to pair together. Everyone tells me that I should open a restaurant. And maybe one day I will. But for now, I’d like to put my culinary skills to the ultimate test on Masterchef 2011. Give me a chance to show you what I got!!!!! I think you will dig me and my cooking.

  11. I am a champion in the kitchen! The one thing that really makes me happy is cooking out of the box dishes and putting crazy combinations of flavors on the table. I have not found anyone or resteraunt out there that can prepare anything close to what I can create. If you give the opportunity to show you my skills, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

  12. I have had a passion for cooking since I was 15 years old. I love getting my hands on anything in the house and make it melt in your mouth delicious. The aromas that fill the air excite anyone that walks into the kitchen. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of foods, which one normally thinks do not go together to create a new and exciting meal. It is more then a hobby it is a passion within my soul. I am confident in my abilities to produce wonderful meals from the very complete to as simple as they come. I would LOVE to be on masterchef to share my skills and learn from those who I feel have outstanding culinary skills. If given the opportunity to be on this show, I promise I would not disappoint you.

  13. I have entered my boyfriend because he would never do it himself. He is an AMAZING cook! EVERYONE LOVES his cooking!!! This is no lie, I’m not just saying this because I love him but he has exceptional skills when it comes to creating dishes!! I know he should be a head chief at a five restaurant or own his own!! HE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!!

  14. Cooking is my passion, and my hobby. I enjoy cooking more than anything. I would love to prove myself, if only given a chance.

  15. My name is TJ Haller, and I have had a passion for food since my grandmother started me off at the age of 13. My grandfather was a great cook as well 42 yrs. as fire chief and surivor of WWII. I have been cooking all my life. For myself or other people it’s the 1 thing you never quit once you get started .It’s a personal high that excells you to go discover something new and exciting. Use new foods and excite peoples palates. it’s a great feeling . I can do this. I can be the next Masterchef.

  16. I am a very versatile self-acclaimed chef and have an enormous passion for food. I have never been formally trained, however, have traveled and lived all over the world. During these travels, I have spent most of it eating. Living in Miami I have been exposed to many different central and south american cultures that have affected the way I cook. Spending summers on a small farm in a tiny town in Georgia I learned traditional Southern Cooking from my Grandmother. Having lived in India one summer, I was inspired to use many non-traditional spices. Last summer my work took me to Asia. I stayed another month to eat. Everyday I spent my mornings in the market marveling at all the fresh and different strange foods. My food is a fusion of all the important old cultures from all over the world, namely, Hispanic, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Peruvian, Mexican and Columbian. I make exotic jellies and sauces during the holiday season with local Miami ingredients like Mango, Carambola and hot and sweet peppers and sell them to friends. I can barely keep up with the demand. To get the best ingredients for my daily use , I raise my own sweet little chickens ( illegally in a very upscale neighborhood) but not only do we get fresh eggs all day, my children get pets that are so different and amazing. I also grow exotic herbs and plants from all over the world, on a small scale, just for my use, so that I always have them available. I am raising my three young children to love food like I do. They love playing and eating in the kitchen as we cook together. We are the house to be at for all the kids at school , as they all come here to eat, cook and play with the chickens. I want my children to have the same passion for food as I do and the same love of cooking. They are getting quite good. Most of all, they are having fun like I do. They are the ones saying I need to apply for this fun show! Please let me know how to apply.

  19. All I know how to do is cook. It is my life. I would love another challenge. I have been in the car business for years selling cars but like many others it is my dream to be the greatest Chef !

  20. well, the focus of the show that i can see, is giving passionate, kitchen lovers ,such as myself, that chance to experience and pursue their love and gratefulness for food, and cooking, and feeding people.i love to cook, i love to feed. my oldest son pursued his cooking skills in the army,2nd year now, he feeds our troops, and he thanks me for that. i am very proud of all of my children. now, its my turn for them to be proud of me.it would be such an honor to be on the show, and really show what i am capable of preparing.i do not own many cooking utensils, and cant always afford all of the ingredients, but i make due, and substitute, or leave out what i dont have.yet my fiance hasn’t complained once. im writing a cookbook, and i pray for the day when i own my own resturaunt.thank you for your time

  21. I would love to broden my skills in this compatition. I am awesome chef now
But i have a lot to learn. I am great in a kitchen i feel very confident That i can do this.

  22. My name is Casey Wyatt, I am 42 years old and I live in Peoria, Arizona. I am the cook in my house and have cooked for the family (my wife and 3 kids) for over 20 years! I cook because I enjoy it and am just good at it(my wife is not). My preference is always fresh ingredients when available and from there the ethnicity of the foods can be created. I learned from my mom since I was young and have always had her inspiration. I am the next Masterchef!!!

  23. I feel that I would be great competion for any chef. I have a good pallet and passion for cooking. I am a carpenter, but looking for my true calling. I am good with cooking any meats, chicken, or seafood. I can make some great tasting curry that would impress seasoned Indian cooks. Give me a chance and you won’t be sorry.

  24. Hello, I am Lori Wiley and I live on a horse ranch in Tonopah AZ. My mother only cooked meat and potatoes while growing up and I went into the Navy after high school so I never knew what flavor was. Ive been married for 22yrs and have made my husband and son suffer through many trials but I feel I have come a long way. I am very good with making an amazing feast out of the ingredients I have at hand in a very short amount of time. My nickname is Queen of the 30 min feast!

  25. I’m Caroline (31-years old), and in my short life, I’ve battled the removal of my gallbladder, a cyst on my bile duct, removal of my appendix, and cervical cancer (8-year cancer survivor) all in the last 10 years of my life. Most would say I’ve lived a difficult life, I see that I’ve lived a full one. Just as acting has once brought me back to life, cooking is becoming my more than just a hobby. It’s becoming my life to savior. It reminds me how much I enjoy bringing people together with great, simple clean foods and enjoy each others’ company. My goal is to not only be the best Master Chef but to be the best Chef for my family and friends.

  26. My name is John Collins. I am from a town just outside Boston, MA. It is very difficult to explain why I SHOULD be considered for the next season of Masterchef. I could sit here and explain my experiences and positions held. I could exclaim about my eagerness to want to be the next masterchef (not that I don’t). I am not going to do that. I am merely a simpleton. I enjoy the simple things in life. Less is more with me. Rather than doing a bajillion things fairly well, I would rather do one thing unequivocally fantastic. Whether I am in fact chosen, whether I could potentially become a masterchef, my love for cooking and the elegance of beautifully plated food will never desist. I will always love cooking. I will always love food.

  27. As I love to cook, friends who enjoy my talent have always said that I should open my own resturaunt. Never being trained in culinary arts, I would love to have the opportunity to test my skills against the best!

  28. i noticed that you can write as much as you want here… hmm… i would like to try this again!.
when my Mom left me to my abusive Dad, i was only 2 weeks to work in Belgium as a Nanny and a Sous Chef. and Growing up i remember one Scenario. My Dad prepared me breakfast. (so nice eh?) it was a plate of rice with raw egg!. and he added 1 more when i said i dont want it he sprinkled with salt and forced me to eat it. realizing that when i was old enough i was like… i coulda made some good @SS fried rice with that! man!…
i see people around eating exotic food. from hunting to dinner table. i have tasted most all kind of animal meat. when i moved from my aunt to my Chinese uncle who loves to hunt. and ive learn how to cook anything without any cooking utensils… basically without having a kitchen.
during HS (after moving to diff. place again) i lived with my Aunt in law and she is a Gourmet Cook. everything is ORGANIC, EVERYTHING? EVERYTHING!
from nasty carrot juice in the morning to a nasty carrot cake for dinner!
but dont get me wrong ive learned some things from her Kitchen too. one of em is how to clean the Pans RIGHT! we got no damn Dish washer there… >_<
after years I met my Mom when i was 15. and went to USA when i was 16 with my little Sister. i was like.. man! life is going to be great! i have a Mom now… then she was too busy working and cant keep up with my appetite. and my sister is starving and we dont want to eat McDonald for dinner. are you kidding me? i need my rice son! (im used to it now tho).
so i went to the kitchen and saw that Steak From Outback 3 days ago… i recooked that. ( i love to experiment with my cooking. theyre edible tho!) =D
    and with some Fried Rice!.
since then. i have made lots of Original Recipe from my own.
I have my own Style Burger, Chicken Wings, Spaghetti, Beer Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, potato salad, Pork Chop Steak, Steak. .. (notice something? most of em are american)and my Fave Sweet and Spicy Shrimp (or just sweet) Shrimp with cold Beer.
i enjoy cooking more than i enjoy Playing Video game… i have been told to go to cooking school to become a chef.. i just smile and say no. never!.
one of the reason is. what if i become better than Alton Brown? i will never watch Food Network anymore!. jk.
i just think that cooking is my real passion. and that passion is some passion are not meant to be shared to others. but to friends and family only.
and thats what is cooking for me.
but im down for some challenge tho!
i am done with this office job…and get me outta here and bring me to that kitchen with a nice stove!!!

  29. My Friends calls me Mr. Freestyle Chef.
i am Filipino came in USA when i was 16. now 25.
i never thought i could cook. i can make my own sauces. for grilling, soup anything. i never read books about cooking. i think i learned how to cook from my aunt who owns a small “Carenderia” 3 table eatery in the Philippines. the only problem with me is… I CANNOT FOLLOW RECIPES! yes… my cooking skill is based on Freestyle cooking and i love to Recook foods to save money. =D

  30. I have loved cooking since I was 4 yrs. old, my poor mom would have to hide the stove knobs for fear of me burning the house down. (I always found them anyway)
started in restaurants at 15 working at an family owned Italian restaurant called Marco’s which had over a 30 yr run I worked their for 8 yrs trained by old man Marco himself who was a phenomenal chef. Then worked at Peohe’s rest. (Charthouses’ Pacific Rim Restaurant) excellent place to learn and work typical weekend entree count 650 or so, our record was a casual 1400 entrees on Mothers day 2004 was there for 8 yrs as well until Landry’s bought out Charthouses then everything went downhill, all fish and meat frozen or cryovacked. We used to cut the fish and meat fresh daily, then became electrician which i’m burned out on. Never got burnt out cooking! Number one passion. Do that till i die! I would love to be on Masterchef and have the opportunity to work with Chef Ramsey. I feel I have alot to offer the show as well as this being the experience of a lifetime.

    STEPHANIE A CARTER

  32. I have lived all over the world e.g., Italy, Belgium, Costa Rica, South Korea, Alabama, Milwaukee, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh. And wherever I’ve lived, I learned about the food first and foremost. I lived for two years in Parma, Italy and believe that that is the center of Italian cuisine. Oh the lasagna there! Costa Rica has the gallo pinto. Man, just rice and beans but they can do eet! Every culture and every region expresses its ecstasy through its cuisine. I just love to cook so much and food so much regardless of slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, tomorrow there is always another meal. I would just love to get around Chef Ramsey to learn all that I can. I’d give a hundred percent. I think this would be a great opportunity for me. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

  33. Hello my name is Aurora i am a mother of five, cooking is all i do, i have four boys and one daughter. I am a very very huge fan of Hells Kitchen. I was taught at a very young age to cook and to always cook in a good mood so that the people you cook for enjoy the food ,that i have prepared. I am proud of my heritage and my background and enjoy putting my own style on the dishes that my grandmother and my mother in law taught me. I also like the style of Rick Bayless the use of fresh ingredients, so much that I have grown my own organic :tomatoes, onions, chilies, and colard greens. I enjoy the looks on the faces of my friends and family when they taste my food and I enjoy the comments. I know that I can NOT ONLY WIN!!!! but represent Proudly Authentic Mexican Cooking. my specialties include :mole verde, mole rojo, tamales, pozole, sopes, taquitos, to name a few, i am proud to say all my food is made from scratch. I am only requesting a chance, to show my skills and to have the chance to compete and why not show off what I CAN DO!!!!! COOK GREAT FOOD!!!!!!

  34. I used to be a pastor. And I am a great cook. I think my steak and guacamole are the best anyone could ever eat!!

  35. I am a single mom raising 2 terrific daughters from a family of farmers from Memphis, Tennessee.I watched my mom raise fresh tomatoes, watermelons, collards and cater for a living like her mom. I was her assistant growing up. I grew up in L.A. raised on the soul food, Caijun, and French recipes that my mom and grandma raised me on. They both have been my teachers over the years, watching them amazingly take 2 or 3 ingredients and making a gourmet meal for 4 or more. They call it cookin “from scratch”, no canned ingredients, all fresh from the veggies to the spices. From homemade jambalaya, to coq au vin, from pasta marinara to succotash, from home made hot water cornbread to croissants, I cook 3 to 4 times a day for my kids, my mom, my friends who stop by for a bite, and for me, the chef, I enjoy watching them eat.
Art is cuisine and cuisine is the essence of joy…
I would like to present some of my joyous recipes with you and I know that you will enjoy them. I learned from Master Chefs of Memphis and Louisianna and I would like to have the opportunity to learn from you as well as share my mastery of the precious recipes of my family to compete for the title of Master Chef.
with you to compete for the title of Master Chef.
One in particular, handground ground beef patties with savory mushroom sauce next to a bed of whipped potatoes with home made butter..

  36. Since the age of 15, I have always worked two jobs that left me without ample time to spend in the kitchen. For health reasons i have cooked my meals for myself and my kids with little or no flavor or fat. My kids ate the bland food because they had no choice. After being laid off as a math teacher, i decided that I needed a new hobby. Every day I watched Dr. Oz and the food network named, “Create”. I have learned a great deal regarding cooking and eating healthly. I have learned how to use spices, methods of preparing food, how to select meat, fish and vegees and the value of every thing we eat. I have become a walking reference book on vegees, fruits and more. Everyday I prepare a gourmet meal for my family. I have learned 100’s of recepies including Italian, Mexican, American, Soul Food and Asian. My new hobby (cooking) has given me a new respect for chefs, cooks and anyone in this line of work. It is a hudge task to become a cook or chelf and there is a great deal to learn. Masterchef would give me the opportunity to learn from the best so that I can be the best I can be in the kitchen. Please allow me the opportunity to learn from you guys? thank you, El Veasta Lampley

  37. Cooking is my passion but i have always been to timid to go for it. I recently lost my job when my retail business closed due to the poor economy.
