A small Iowa town raises an adopted girl ends up serving up her entire life to her favorite passtime ‘butter carving’ and finds herself in competition with a ritzy woman from her town. They end up competing at their town’s annual butter carving contest. “Butter” stars Hugh Jackman as Boy Bolton, Olivia Wilde as Brooke Swinkowski, Ashley Greene as Kaitlen Pickler, Jennifer Garner and Laura Pickler and Alicia Silverstone is back on the big screen as Julie Emmet. Should definitely be a hit at the box office as Jennifer Garner has not been on the big screen in a few years and this is definitely an interesting role for her.Jim Field Smith is responsible for directing “Butter”, and he has not worked on a film since his 2011 release of “She’s Out of my League” starring Jay Baruchel and Alice Eve. Where the average Joe meets his perfect match. In turn, “Butter” is anticipated by critics to be a fun and comedic, heart touching family film. It is set to release later this year and production is underway by Michael De Luca Productions and Vandalia Films. It’s plot is not just expected to be a typical story of a girl going against an older woman for her “Butter Carving” crown, but more so does take some pokes and jabs at the conservatives of this country and the God-Fearing folk of Middle America. If you are easily offended then this may not be the best film for you to go see. Depending how you see the film this could very well be the heart felt comedy of the year.
