ABC has just announced that they have picked up 10 episodes of a new reality singing competition Rising Star. The live show is based on an Israeli format that has a Voice-like audition twist and this is your chance to audition. ABC has been attempting to break into the singing competition game for the past several years (Duets, Sing Your Face Off). Rising Star is set to air in June and the casting directors are now holding auditions for male and female singers who are interested in auditioning for ABC. This is a great chance for singing talent to be featured on a television show and have the chance to be signed to a major record label. Do not miss out apply now!
Rising Star is based from a Israeli television show that starts off with the singer getting on stage with a big video wall separating her from the audience. The singer starts to sing and viewers vote on whether he or she good or bad using a smartphone app in real time. There’s a meter on the screen as the votes are accumulated as the singer sings. As the song progresses, photos of the fans voting are shown on the giant video screen. If a certain level is reached the singer will move on to the next stage.
The casting directors are now holding auditions for male and female singers of all ages to audition for Rising Star. If you are interested please submit your information along with a resume. Hi, I’m Nichole and I have always loved singing, and have always found that it was easier to get my feelings out through music. Even though I have never taken voice lessons, I have found my own way and style to sing. This last month I found out that I have no frontal sinus cavities, which accounts for a lot of my trouble trying to go through certain octaves and ranges of the voice, but I do not want that to slow me down. I am a second soprano, I help out with my churches VBS program leading the music, and I am on my churches praise team. I sing a lot of contemporary christian music along with new age, some pop, country, throughout all genres; except heavy metal and rap. I can play the guitar, but am still at a novice level, and I am teaching myself to play the piano by letter notes; I cannot read sheet music, but I can follow along with it. I have only written about 3-4 songs, but never put music to them. I took tap and ballet when I was 5 and 6, then I took jazz in 6th grade, and I have been in 3 plays including a 1 Act for a festival and a technical make-up and costume person for my high school. I am 18 years old, finishing up my senior year in high school, and have always dreamed to get my voice out into the world.

My love for music stems from when I was 8 years old during a performance where I felt this rush of emotion go through me as I was singing and in that moment I realized how music has the ability provoke any kind of emotion and make a room filled with strangers connect on such a deep level. I witnessed this in myself and the audience and it was truly one of the best moments of my life because that realization has always stuck with me. I love to sing because it makes me feel so present and connected to the lyrics I’m singing. I feel like Rising Star would be a perfect opportunity for me to show the world what I can do and also be a an invaluable learning experience that will aid me in presuming my music career
I want to be a successful professional musician because I would love to be able to inspire people in any way that I can. I have loved to sing since I could make noise! Recently, when performing at a local venue, I had some kids that I went to school with show up in the middle of the act. They didn’t know I could sing because I had sorta kept it a secret from most of my peers because I wasn’t sure if they would be as supportive as close friends and family, and I didn’t want to get picked on. I had been taunted enough in middle school, and wanted to leave those days behind me in high school. I got a message in my inbox as soon as I left the stage, that I was sorta scared to read. When I opened it, I was surprised to see that my voice and songs had made such an impact on one of my classmates. He said it touched him so much he wanted to cry. I am known as the songbird of my family and church. When I was a young girl I was always told by my siblings that I couldn’t sing. When people asked me to sing I would say I couldn’t and was just to shy to let anyone see. At age 13, I began to sing in church in front of audiences and began to write music and sing for those who asked and just to let out any emotion and creativity that comes to mind. I sing because I’ve been through soo much and there is just no other way for me to express it. It is difficult to break down the age barrier that goes with this business, but I am always attempting to defy it. The fact that there is no age limit for your show is so encouraging and admirable. I have been singing for about 45 years, 25 of them in bands touring and gigging. This may be my last opportunity to make my mark. I am unique and original, having honed in on creating a style that accentuates my voice and is all my own. I enjoy this show, as I am an older performer (I like to say I’m seasoned…haha), and there is no age limit. So much emphasis is put on age, but I don’t look, feel, nor act my age. Yet, I have the wisdom and an incredible story. I perform better now than I did in my 20s. Over the years, I have developed my own original style that no one seems to be able to put their finger on, but they like it. I am a tiny 4’10 woman with a powerful punch! The mouse that roaaaaared! A show like this may be my last chance to achieve exposure and make this dream come true once and for all!

I know that its a 1 in a billion chance to be casted but I’d like to say why singing is my passion. When I was 3 my parents would fight and fight all the time. I didn’t know what else to do do but also yell. I’d go in my room and just yell in different pitches. Not knowing what yelling was but it felt right. After awhile, the telling turned into melodies and singing. When I was 10 I started to get bullied in school. Kids would call me fat and ugly and stupid so I would brake down. I was diagnosed with depression anxiety disorder. I took pills and half the time I just wanted to die. I grew older, around 13/14 (I’m 15 by the way) and the bullying got worse. I went into a deep depression but all I knew how to do to get over all the pain was sing. I sung everyday all day. In the school bathrooms, on the school bus, at home, everywhere. People around would always say “girl you can sing” or “you have an amazing voice”. My main supporter is my mom. She’s always telling me how beautiful I am or that I’m worth living. She’s the reason I’m still here. I’m finally to the point where I want to share my story with others through music. Helping all those who are going through the same things in am. I would to be part of the next big hit, Rising Star. I am 10 years old, I love to sing. Yesterday, I received the presidential fitness award at my school because being healthy is so important for kids today. My favorite song to sing is Mean by Taylor Swift. This is because I want kids to know bullies are just mean.
Hi if you consider my age I’d be very proud to be in your show. I want to show to the whole world that singing is ageless. I want to showcase my God- given talent before I fade away. I was bullied when I was young, have low self-esteem, and lack of self-confidence that prevented me from exploiting my talent. I only started singing in public 4yrs ago after I had thyroidectomy due to cancer. The surgery was an eye opener for me. Fearing that I wouldn’t be able to sing again, I promised to God and to myself if I still have the voice I will try to overcome my stage fright to be able to use this gift. The rest is history, am now able to sing with confidence in public, and I think I will be an added attraction in the show. if considered. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Everyone !! I am Kimberly Boyer a 21 year old female who is from New Jersey. I have been singing just about all of my life. I have auditioned for American Idol, X-Factor, and The Voice, did not make it on to the live shows but did appear on TV bringing in New Jersey on X-Factors first year in NJ! In reading the description of the new show I feel I would be a great asset to this show! I have currently red hair but am a natural blonde with hazel eyes that turn green and yellow. Also, I am 5’2, 5’3-on a good day weighing 120lbs. I have a very bubbly personality and love meeting new people! Hello Rising star! I would be more than thrilled to be on this amazing show. I have been singing since the age of 3 and have always been so passionate about music. I am now 25 and feel that its time to share my talent. I’ve performed live at Quallcomm stadium for the SD Padres doing my rendition of the national anthem when I was 12 and 13. I have dealt with rejection, but I just rebound and it makes me that much more determined to be better. Given the chance, to be on this outstanding show, I would like to show America my gifted talent. Plus, Josh Groban is my biggest Idol and it would mean the world to me to sing in his presents. This chance would be absolutely amazing!
