The hit show is back on TNT Network! “Southland” is now on it’s 4th season and fans are amped for the return! Southland is a television show that gives a “raw” look at the LAPD and the officers who police it. The show isn’t your normal police series, it has a dark side that had it deemed inappropriate for 9 PM television & ultimately led to the original TV station that the show premiered on, NBC, to shut it down & sell the rights to TNT.
The series was written by Emmy Award winner Ann Biderman who got her start with another police drama NYPD Blue. An interesting fact about the show is that it uses the experience and knowledge of an actual ex-police officer, Angela Amato Velez, as a consulting producer and writer.
If you’d be interested in becoming a new addition to the show than start filling out your application and preparing your resume. Applicants should be available on demand near the LA area! If you aren’t around LA don’t bother applying. Currently the show is seeking extras, photo double and possibly a new face to be added to the recurring roles. Experience in criminal justice is a huge plus! If you have experience working as a security guard, or police officer then you should definitely apply. All talent will be considered for various spaces available for different scenes in the series. You should keep you schedule clear as talent have to be available depending on the scenes you are needed for. Talent have to be over the age of 18 and act professional on set.
