ABC is adding another comedy pilot Trophy Wife to their lineup. Bradley Whitford, best known as Josh on “West Wing,”has reportedly been cast as the male lead in Trophy Wife. ABC has also announced that Malin Akerman is also set to star the party girl who finds herself in an insta-family when she falls in love with a man (Whitford) with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives. Though Akerman made a name for herself in films like Watchmen, 27 Dresses and Rock of Ages, Malin Akerman has a number of TV roles under her belt, including the (now-Emmy award winning) Adult Swim series Children’s Hospital. The casting directors are now on a national search for male and female actors for two other supporting roles along with numerous extras for the new pilot. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring actor that is looking for their big break on a new hit TV pilot.
The half-hour comedy Trophy Wife will follow Kate’s life after she falls for a guy (Brad) that doesn’t really fit into her regular lifestyle. The single-camera pilot will follow Kate as she begins adjusting to her “insta-family.”
